Bitcoin surged above $66,500 after the preliminary U.S.-Iran peace deal sparked a broad risk-on rally. Short sellers were caught off guard as prices moved higher.

After selling bitcoin for the first time since 2022 at the end of May, Strategy went back to doing what it does best – buying it. Despite these purchases, the bitcoin market continued sliding.
