Over the past month, the investment world has fixated on rising interest rates and the health of the AI infrastructure megatrend.
Given all this, it’s been easy to forget that our “Boomer healthcare” megatrend is thriving, healthcare stocks are in a bull market, and this industry is full of investment opportunities.
As evidence, we cite the new all-time high registered by AbbVie (ABBV, pronounced ab-vee) today.
AbbVie is one of the most important healthcare companies most people don’t know about. It is a supergiant $504 billion drug firm that develops and sells drugs to treat some of the world’s most serious diseases.
Its largest business is immunology, where its blockbuster drugs Skyrizi and Rinvoq treat autoimmune conditions such as psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, and Crohn’s disease. AbbVie also develops treatments for cancer, neurological disorders, migraines, and eye diseases. Its medical aesthetics business includes the popular Botox and Juvéderm brands. The company generates more than $60 billion in annual revenue, with sales growing approximately 9% in 2025, driven by strong demand for its immunology treatments.
Money & Megatrends readers in good standing are not surprised to see the likes of AbbVie registering new highs.
For more than three years, I’ve made “Boomer healthcare” one of my highest conviction long-term investment themes. We don’t know of another investment research publication that has written more bullishly, more often about this booming industry than we have.
Over the past year, we have published more than two dozen pieces on opportunities in drug development, biotechnology, senior living facilities, genomics, cardiology, diagnostics, and more.
Our bullish stance has produced a parade of home runs, with the healthcare industry dominating the stock market’s new highs list over the past year.
Healthcare stocks are generating extraordinary returns because they are benefiting from several megatrends simultaneously…
One is a demographic tsunami. More than 10,000 Americans reach retirement age every day. The U.S. population aged 80 and older is projected to roughly double, from 14.7 million in 2025 to 29.4 million by 2045.
This is the enormous Baby Boom generation entering the phase of life where health care and longevity spending skyrocket. For many boomers, a typical month involves going to see at least one doctor to have something looked at, removed, or treated.
This means many health care businesses are experiencing huge demand now – and will for at least the next decade.
Two is exponential technological progress. Thanks to major advances in genomic sequencing, AI-powered analytics, imaging technology, and preventive treatments, healthcare is becoming much better and more personalized. This is driving strong demand for all kinds of new tests, tools, and treatments.
After all, when a useful and important service you buy gets much better, you typically buy more of it.
This means many healthcare businesses are experiencing huge demand now – and will for at least the next decade. It means boom times ahead for many “ology” businesses, stocks, and careers. Dermatology. Cardiology. Radiology. Oncology. Anesthesiology. Ophthalmology. The list goes on.
Investing in many healthcare businesses over the next decade will be investing with a gale-force tailwind at your back. If you’re a parent and worried about your child getting a job, just point them to the booming healthcare industry.
That’s my bull case. But I care a lot more about what the market thinks of a bull case, a bear case, or any other case than what any one person thinks of it (including me).
As you can see in the two-year chart for ABBV, the market enthusiastically supports owning health care firms. ABBV has returned 61% over the past year and just reached a new all-time high. The healthcare sector gold rush continues.

Power Bill Revolt Could Hit the Ballot Box Nov. 3: ‘Dark Energy’ Stocks Set to Soar
Power bills have doubled and even tripled across America, and furious voters are about to send a clear message on November 3: get AI off the grid. The only way to get AI off the power grid… without losing to China and crashing the economy… is a criticaltech now being deployed by Elon Musk. One expert calls it “Dark Energy.” Washington has already greenlit it on an emergency basis, it comes online almost instantly, it’s already sold out through 2028… and one small group of companies hold the keys to it. Click here to see the small group of stocks set to soar as a mass power bill revolt hits on November 3.

In last Wednesday’s issue, we highlighted how shares of credit card giants Visa (V) and Mastercard (MA) just reached new all-time highs.
The biggest insight we take from their market leadership is this: If two of America’s most important consumer spending companies are enjoying strong growth and soaring stock prices, then the economy isn’t struggling as many bearish investment professionals claim… It’s actually “humming along nicely.”
Today, we look at the stock price trends of hotel giants Marriott International (MAR) and Hilton Worldwide Holdings (HLT) and… and we see their price action is sending the same message.
Both stocks are up substantially over the past 12 months (50% and 32%, respectively). Both are in clear uptrends. Both are trading very close to their all-time highs. Both recently reported solid Q2 2026 earnings, with improving U.S. hotel demand, higher room rates, and increased full-year guidance
Here’s why that’s important for the economy and your portfolio…
Many investors obsess over government data such as unemployment figures, job hirings, and the Consumer Price Index. I like to know that data as everyone else does. However, when I want a read on what’s really happening in the economy, I place far greater focus on what’s happening in the real world.
I look at stock prices. In doing this, I listen to the judge, jury, and executioner of any thesis, any trend, and any claim: The market.
The stock market is one of the world’s greatest forecasting mechanisms. It tends to look ahead 6-12 months. When an industry is in a recession, its stock prices will rise before the news media says it is recovering. When an industry seems to be doing well, its stock prices will decline before the news covers its downturn. This is often called “discounting the future.”
Hotel operators such as Hilton and Marriott are highly economically sensitive. They thrive when consumers have enough money to travel and when businesses are spending freely on conferences, deal-making, and events. They struggle when the opposite is the case.
You can read a thousand differing opinions and forecasts related to the economy, interest rates, and the status of the AI boom. However, there’s only one source of objective truth: Market prices.
Market prices are the sum total and final expression of all knowledge held by industry insiders, connected money managers, government officials, and bankers who quietly control huge swaths of the economy. These people know 50 times as much about their industries of focus as you or I do.
Their knowledge manifests itself through action… and that action that sets market prices. Market prices are not always perfect, but much of the time, they know hell of a lot more than any economist or investment guru.
If you ever get brain overload from listening to or reading lots of “experts” espousing lots of conflicting opinions about a war, a technology, or the health of the economy, you can easily tune them out and focus on signals that contain more distilled insider knowledge in them than all those experts combined: Market prices.
Right now, the market prices of key cogs in the economic machine such as Visa, Mastercard, Marriott, and Hilton are very strong.
Sure, the global economy has problems. It always does. But it also has some enormous positives. And these positives are so strong that America’s largest hotel operators are booming. Conduct your financial affairs accordingly!
The next wave of AI wealth is coming. How to invest in it

In our October 12 issue, we highlighted how cutting-edge software and analytics firm Palantir (PLTR) exemplifies an investment strategy we believe will produce dozens of enormous winners over the next three years…
Palantir is a leading “AI Applications Layer” company. It helps its customers use AI to organize, analyze, and act on huge amounts of complex data. The stock is up 1,036% since January 1, 2024.
During the internet revolution, companies like Amazon (AMZN), YouTube, and Netflix (NFLX) generated enormous wealth by building extraordinary businesses on top of the internet’s infrastructure – rather than building that infrastructure themselves.
We believe AI will follow the same playbook.
As Big Tech pours enormous sums into AI infrastructure, a new generation of companies is emerging to capitalize on it.
These “AI Applications Layer” businesses will revolutionize industries ranging from medicine and manufacturing to finance and entertainment.
We believe this is one of the best places to find the market’s next 10X winners.
And while we can’t say whether Axon Enterprise (AXON) is likely to 10X from here, we can say the company is poised to be a major beneficiary of AI… and a leader in applying the technology in its chosen field.
Axon Enterprise is a fast-growing technology firm best known for its TASER stun guns and police body cameras. But Axon has evolved into a major software and artificial intelligence business.
Its cloud-based platforms help law enforcement agencies store and analyze digital evidence, manage records, and coordinate emergency responses. Its AI tools can automatically draft police reports from body-camera footage, reducing paperwork and freeing officers for other duties.
Axon is also expanding into drones, counter-drone technology, and real-time surveillance systems. The company generated $2.8 billion in 2025 revenue, up 33%, with recurring software subscriptions becoming an increasingly important growth driver.
Axon enjoys a deeply entrenched position with law enforcement and public safety departments. This means Axon is uniquely positioned to help said departments leverage AI to assist with crime investigations, produce comprehensive reports and records, create crime-fighting AI “assistants,” and more. Wall Street expects AXON to sustain approximately 30% annual revenue growth through 2028.
The AI infrastructure buildout is far from over. But enough advanced models have been developed, and enough infrastructure is in place, to fuel an extraordinary next phase of the AI boom.
Innovative companies in the “AI Applications Layer” can now harness this technology to build or augment great businesses with extraordinary growth potential. AXON could be one of those companies.
